Peter Kay has announced his return to the Manchester O2 Apollo for the first time in more than 13 years for two shows on the same day. The brand new show comes in support of The Kyle Buckley Fund and The Polly Haydock Appeal, with Kay promising to discuss his career in comedy, as well as playing some exclusive clips and outtakes from his shows.

“My aim is to do two shows on Saturday 15 July, a matinee and an evening performance with all profits going to these two incredibly worthy charities,” Peter announced. “Any funds raised will go a very long way to making both these peopleโ€™s lives better.”

The Kyle Buckley fund, named after the year 6 pupil from Bolton who has diagnosed with a rare muscle tissue cancer Rhabdomyosarcoma, raises money for his ongoing treatment. Polly Haddock was diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2015, and is now raising money for experimental treatment in Germany to extend her life and to care for her three children.

Kay has celebrated success in the BAFTA award winning Car Share, Phoenix Nights, Max & Paddy’s Road To Nowhere, That Peter Kay Thing, Britain’s Got The Pop Factor, as well as a whole host of stand-up world tours. He will also be discussing his music career, and success as an author with three best-selling books.
