A band called Heck: The Nottingham noisemakers get ready to tour
Until now, Heck’s career has been almost as manic as their much-loved live show.
From first emerging as Baby Godzilla, they toured with Limp Bizkit and Crossfaith, ripped apart (literally) as many basement venues across the UK as they could and generally caused complete chaos at countless festivals far and wide. It was marvellous and it earned them a whole load of fans.
Now, they’re stepping out with their debut album under the Heck banner, with a fresh perspective and reinvigorated approach to everything they do.

“We could have very easily have just stopped,” guitarist Jonny Hall said in a recent interview, “Because everything that you’ve worked for, for five years, has been ripped from under you and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
“But instead it just made us even more determined to not do anything that anyone tells us to do; and do things our own way,” vocalist and guitarist Matt Reynolds added.
Carnage and riffs have always been the essential ingredients to the Nottingham quartet’s noisy output, but as their upcoming debut, Instructions, demonstrates, they’ve nailed the dynamic musicianship, mathcore technicalities and almost-sort-of-choruses to keep them crowd surfing way beyond scuzzy stages.

Heck kick off their upcoming UK tour this Friday (11 March) with a very special album release show in their hometown – Nottingham, Rescue Rooms.
