Five things we can’t wait to see at British Summer Time Hyde Park

British Summer Time Hyde Park got underway with a headline set from The Strokes last night. Here’s five reason’s we’re excited for more of the same…

1. The Strokes returning to London after five years
The Strokes made their London comeback last night, after they kicked off proceedings at BST. Joining them were Future Islands, whose stand out track, Seasons (Waiting on You) sounded amazing in Hyde Park.

2. Blur are back for round four
We just can’t get enough of Blur! Being the only artists to play Hyde Park four times, Blur are returning on Saturday 20 June for the latest instalment of what they do best – you’ll definitely catch us singing along up front.

3. Kylie headlining Sunday 21 June
Kylie Minogue will be supported by pop sensation Mika, the multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter promises to really get the party going! Years and Years will also hit the stage in the afternoon, who (we hope) are still celebrating their first ever UK #1 with King. So. Excited.

4. The Who being legendary
The Who are easily one of rock’s defining bands, and just another reason we’re loving BST so much. Kaiser Chiefs will join them, meaning I Predict A Riot will subsequently be stuck in our head for days.

5. Taylor Swift, John Newman AND Ellie Goulding in one day
Saturday 27 June promises to be preeeetty special. British soul sensation, John Newman, BRIT and MTV Europe Award winner Ellie Goulding, AND the most talked about artist in the world right now, Taylor Swift, all sharing a bill! Dancing shoes at the ready.
