Great gift ideas for your awesome mum

With less than a week to go until Mothering Sunday, have you got something for the woman who’s given you everything?

Mother’s Day alert! The 26 March is almost upon us. That’s when you show your mum just how much she means to you. So this year give her something she actually wants – like tickets to the “mother of all events”.

Not sure what that is? We’ve put together a list of concerts, shows and activities below that your mum is sure to enjoy. Trust us, she’ll be touched and you’ll come off looking like her perfect little angel!

John Bishop

John Bishop (Special Mother’s Day offer!)
Give your mum the gift of laughter with tickets to comedy superstar John Bishop’s new live show Winging It. The husband and father-of-three who’s known for his storytelling technique and heart-warming honesty begins a series of warm-up shows on 3 April with his nationwide tour kicking off in October. Plus, you can take advantage of our Mother’s Day offer and get her tickets for just £30 at selected venues.

BROS

BROS
The ’80s pop band BROS are reuniting! After a 24-year break, twin brothers Matt and Luke Goss will head out on a full UK tour this August. This is a no-brainer: Make sure your mum is in the audience.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars
You know your mum’s precious so who more appropriate to emphasise that than Bruno Mars? The chart-topping pop star is embarking on the UK leg of his 24K Magic world tour on 12 April in Glasgow and will visit seven other cities across the country.

Bryan Adams

Bryan Adams
There are more reasons than we can count as to why Bryan Adams is the perfect man. Great hair. A boyish, gap-toothed grin. Oh, and did we mention that husky voice? Of course, everyone knows he sings straight from the heart. Adams will have your mum falling at his feet when he brings his Get Up tour to the UK this July.

Celine Dion

Céline Dion
Introducing your mum’s new favourite BFF! Céline Dion not only has an extraordinary voice and phenomenal energy on stage, but the Canadian diva is a mum-of-three who knows all about the power of love. Returning to the UK for the first time since 2008, she’ll be on tour in various cities from 20 June – 3 August.

David Baddiel

David Baddiel
Comedian David Baddiel pays tribute to his wild mother who had a long-running affair during My Family: Not the Sitcom. Called a “massively disrespectful celebration”, his show is funny and moving – and will leave your mum feeling like a saint. Returning for its third and final run from 28 March – 3 June at London’s Playhouse Theatre, pay no booking fees on selected performances.

Dirty Dancing

Dirty Dancing
Three words: She’ll love this. And what mum wouldn’t? Baby and bad boy Johnny are the ultimate super couple and that lift is every woman’s dream – no matter what her age. Don’t miss the touring production of Dirty Dancing when it lands in Blackpool on 29 August for a five-day run.

The Girls

The Girls
Looking for an uplifting and empowering musical for your mum? The Girls is just the ticket. Based on the film Calendar Girls, it tells the real-life story of an ordinary group of women who decide to buck convention by posing nude for a calendar to raise money for charity. Featuring original music by Gary Barlow, The Girls runs until 15 July at London’s Phoenix Theatre.

Mrs Browns Boys

Good Mourning Mrs Brown
Foul-mouthed matriarch Agnes Brown (played by Brendan O’Carroll) is back. Mrs Brown’s Boys have begun a new arena tour that continues through December. In this latest live instalment, Agnes is planning Granddad’s funeral. One major problem, though – he’s not dead! Your mum will want to be in on all the shenanigans when Good Mourning Mrs Brown comes to a city near you.

Guns N Roses

Guns N’ Roses
You’ve spent most of your life rebelling against your mum, so maybe it’s her turn to be defiant – and nobody knows more about bad behaviour than Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan. The trio have reformed Guns N’ Roses and will be stopping at London Stadium on 16 & 17 June as part of their Not in This Lifetime tour. Make sure your mum’s in the audience for this once-in-a-lifetime rock’n’roll thrill.

Muller Anniversary Games

Müller Anniversary Games
Coming to London Stadium on 9 July, Müller Anniversary Games is a winning choice. Not only is it one of the most exciting athletics competitions in the world, but your mum will also get to see global superstars like Mo Farah.

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams
Look no further than Robbie Williams for the perfect present. Your mum probably had a poster of the former boy band heartthrob on her bedroom wall when she was a girl. Still as hunky as ever, she’s sure to swoon for Williams when The Heavy Entertainment Show tours the UK from 2 – 23 June.

Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart
Your mum will thank you wholeheartedly for taking her to see Rod Stewart at one of his UK appearances in Shrewsbury, Durham or the Isle of Wight this June. Now in his 70s, he still puts on amazing shows and audiences go absolutely crazy for him. From You Wear It Well to Maggie May and Da Ya Think I’m Sexy, there’s nothing like hearing Sir Rod perform his incredible hits live.

Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival

Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival
Get ready for lots of foodie fun! If your mum loves to cook, then make tracks for the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival on 22 and 23 July. She can meet chefs like John Torode, watch cooking demonstrations, listen to live music and – obviously – eat all kinds of yummy stuff.

The Women's Tour

The Women’s Tour
A super sporty, bicycle-obsessed mum will want to experience The Women’s Tour when it rides across England from 7 – 11 June. Get tickets to one of the individual stages (in Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire and Derbyshire) or the final stage in London. Another reason it’s tops with mums: The Women’s Series has partnered with Breast Cancer Care to celebrate 25 years of the pink ribbon.
