What’s even better about New Music Friday is that you can listen to a lot of the new music live. We’ve also found artists who’ve got new records out and are about to take them on tour. Double win!

RELEASE OF THE WEEK: Harry Styles – Harry Styles

Former One Direction member Harry Styles has released his self-titled debut album. His lead single Sign Of The Times debuted at No.1 and we expect no less from his album as well. With influences of 70’s Bowie and The Walkmen, Styles’ new record will not just wow his devoted fans but win him a bunch of new followers. Grab your copy here.

Paramore – After Laughter

American rock band Paramore are back with their first album since 2013. After Laughter takes its listeners on a trip to the 80s – Paramore-style. With heavy synths and prominent percussion, the album is reminiscent of early 80’s Blondie sounds. It may be a new direction for the band, but we sure are on board. Grab your copy of the album here.

Paul Weller – A Kind Revolution

British singer-songwriter and former The Jam member Paul Weller released his new record A Kind Revolution today. Almost 40 years since his debut with The Jam’s In The City, the new album showcases similar focal points such as love and society. Yet, Paul Weller continues to surprise with new sounds. Catch him life across the UK next February with tickets on sale via Ticketmaster.co.uk. Grab your copy of the album here.

Seether – Poison The Parish

Self-produced by frontman Shaun Morgan, Seether’s latest offering Poison in the Parish sees the band taking a new, darker direction with their unmistakable post-grunge sound. “There’s more of a return to the sound we had on the first few albums and I know that people wanted that,” they say. Catch them live across the UK in October, with tickets available via Ticketmaster.co.uk. Grab your copy of the album here.

Machine Gun Kelly – Bloom

American rapper Machine Gun Kelly creates his own hip-hop sound on his new record Bloom. Here he combines his signature street-wise hip hop with a 90s alt-rock vibes. Catch him at London’s KOKO next month, with tickets available via Ticketmaster.co.uk. Grab your copy of the album here.

Zac Brown Band – Welcome Home

New country music this week comes from Georgia-natives Zac Brown Band with Welcome Home. The new record is their most personal one yet and sees them returning to their country roots with pick-up trucks and cold beers. “This one was very personal and very much rooted to my life. That’s why it’s back down to the roots,” said Brown, “I created this record to get back to the beginning of what inspired me as a songwriter.” Grab your copy of the album here.

Amber Mark – 3:33am

Rising New York pop star Amber Mark has released her debut EP 3:33am today. The 7-track is her way of working through the grief of losing her mother back in 2013. “Isolation, questioning, sadness, overcoming, anger and regret… Those were my stages,” she explains. “I didn’t want it to be this sad, depressing EP. I wanted it to uplift people who had gone through it.” Tickets for her show at London’s The Waiting Room are on sale today via Ticketmaster.co.uk. Grab your copy of the album here.
