Here are our highlights from today's album release schedule.

Release of the week: London Grammar – Truth Is A Beautiful Thing
British indie pop duo London Grammar kick off this week’s edition of New Music Friday with their latest release Truth Is Something Beautiful. On the follow-up to their debut album the band have worked with Adele producers Paul Epworth and Greg Kurstin to create a polished hip-hop-pop sound that takes more risks, and wins while doing so. Katy Perry – Witness
As one of pop’s biggest stars this decade, Katy Perry’s new album Witness makes her transformation from teenage dream into womanhood complete. She’s not just rocking a new look but also a new sound. On her fifth studio album, she’s once again worked with Max Martin, and they’ve produced a hypnotic sound with spell-binding beats. The album showcases Perry’s confidence in who she’s become and the lyrics continue to roar with strength. Rancid – Trouble Maker
California punk-rock band Rancid have released their nineth album today with Trouble Maker. With their debut album released almost fifteen years ago, rancid have long since proven to be a cornerstone of the American punk scene. Trouble Maker was produced by Rancid’s longtime producer and founder of Epitaph Records, Brett Gurewitz. This summer you can catch Rancid rocking Hyde Park alongside Green Day on 1 July and we have last remaining tickets here. Grab your copy of the album here.

Rise Against – Wolves
More new punk music is coming courtesy of Chicago-based Rise Against with their new album Wolves. Packed with political criticsim and a sound that takes us back to their roots, the record calls on their fanbase to rise up. Frontman Tim Ilrath said about the album: “Wolves isn’t about creating a safe space, it’s about creating a space that’s dangerous for injustice.” The band recently played a small show at London’s The Garage in support of their new release, read our review here. Lady Antebellum – Heart Break
Country super-trio Lady Antebellum are back with a brand new album. Heart Break marks the band’s sixth album in just ten years. After a short hiatus, the band release one of their most personal albums yet. During the recording period, the trio had rented a house in Florida where they penned most of the album’s tracks. Known for their intense country ballads, the band add a bit of spice with a few upbeat, high-energy songs that remind of 70’s pop tracks. Gov’t Mule – Revolution Come… Revolution Go
Southern rock jam band Gov’t Mule have released their new project Revolution Come … Revolution Go. As wit many rock bands this year, Gov’t Mule make a political statement with the record. Anathema – The Optimist
The Optimist is the latest and eleventh album from Liverpool six-piece Anathema. Their doom metal beginnings are only faintly shining through on the new record, but Anathema’s new prog-rock path sure has won them over some new fans and The Optimist will continue to do so. Chuck Berry – CHUCK
Today also marks the release of Chuck Berry’s first album in 38 years. Just before his passing in March, he had announced its release. CHUCK has recording mterial from 1991 through to 2014 and celebrate a fitting conclusion to career of the late and great musician. Grab your copy of the album here.

Phoenix – Ti Amo
French rockers Phoenix share their synth-heavy new record Ti Amo today. The album is packed with positivity and Eurodisco anthems from front to back. It captures the essence of summer with songs like Tutti Frutti or Telefono. Grab your copy of the album here.

Big Thief – Capacity
Capacity is new music hailing from Brooklyn thanks to indie-rockers Big Thief. The follow up to their breathtaking 2016 debut Masterpiece, Capacity doesn’t disappoint as it’s sophomore release. With vivid vocals, great stories and a unique folk-rock touch the eleven tracks are something you won’t soon turn off. You can see them live in Bristol this November with tickets available here.
