Simple Minds – Acoustic

We all know Simple Minds from the infamous Breakfast Club with John Hughes pumping his fist in the air to Don’t You (Forget About Me). But Simple Minds are not just a one hit wonder, the Scottish rockers have long become a stronghold in the UK’s rock scene. Now they are back with a new acoustic album which they’ll take on the road next summer. Tickets are available here.

Cliff Richard – Just… Fabulous Rock’n’Roll

British musician Cliff Richard is taking a walk on the rock’n’roll side of life with his latest record. If you feel like dancing your socks off to a list of seriously catchy tunes, get your hands on his new album, or even better see him live.

David Bowie – Legacy

There’s a brilliant collection of David Bowie’s greatest singles out today. It follows on from his 2014 greatest hits compilation Nothing Has Changed but now has tracks from Blackstar included. And what would a best of album be without a hidden gem? A previously unreleased version of the 1971 Life On Mars mixed by Ken Scott (its original producer). The ultimate David Bowie musical Lazarus is now open at Kings Cross Theatre. Tickets are available here.

Pink Floyd – The Early Years – cre/ation

Calling all Pink Floyd lovers, Sony’s Legacy label has released a highlights package with 19 out of 27 tracks previously unreleased, including rarities, early versions, BBC radio sessions, B Sides and live recordings. It shows the evolution of Pink Floyd up until one year prior to the release of Dark Side Of The Moon. You can see all things Pink Floyd with an audio-visual journey through the band’s entire history at the Victoria & Albert Museum next May. Tickets are available here.
