Rag ‘n’ Bone Man – Human
He’s probably the break-through act of 2016, and 2017 is looking massive for Rag’n’Bone Man. His debut album Human is out today and it’s everything we hoped for. His intense vocals and bluesy tunes transport us into his world. And if this record gives you chills, just wait until you hear it live. Thunder – Rip It Up
A little over a month to go until English hard rockers Thunder hit the UK with their ten-date tour in celebration of their latest release Rip It Up. And ripping it up, they sure will. About the album, the band has said: “It was recorded in three sessions (March, June and August) and it’s a real step up in every direction. There are 11 brand new cracking tunes, all written as ever by Luke (Morley). He also produced it, and our old mate Nick Brine recorded it at Rockfield in Monmouth (as with Wonder Days).” We certainly can’t wait to hear it live. Beach Slang – Here I Made This For You
It’s been a turbulent year for Philly punk rockers Beach Slang, but they just never fail to put one amazing track after another, and their newest EP is no different. Mixtapes have sadly become a thing of the past but Beach Slang have given it a revival with covers of their favourite tunes on EP Here I Made This For You, which also includes a cover of hometown heroes The Jesus And Mary Chain’s Sometimes Always. Their UK tour may be over but they’ll be supporting Green Day for their massive Hyde Park show this summer.
Tall Ships – Impressions
Impressions is the newest record out by Brighton-based experimental rock back Tall Ships. It also marks the band’s return from a four year hiatus. After releasing their debut album in 2012 they sold out headline shows at smaller venues like Scala. Now with this triumphant return we’re sure things are only looking up. The trio are also headed for a UK tour in March, so make sure you have tickets, available via yours truly. And don’t forget to get your hands on a copy of the album in our shop. Amber Run – For A Moment, I Was Lost
Formed in Nottingham, Amber Run had played just four shows when they were booked for Reading & Leeds Festival and supported Kodaline on their UK tour. And that’s not all, their debut album broke the UK Top 40 and now they’ve released their follow up with For A Moment, I Was Lost. Danny Brown – Accelerator
Danny Brown has released one of the best hip hop albums of 2016 and now he’s treating us to another gem – his new EP Accelerator in corporation with producer Paul White. It features two new tracks (Accelerator and Lion’s Den) as well as instrumental versions of each. Get in on all the fun when Danny Brown plays this year’s Wild Life festival at Brighton City Airport from 9 – 10 June. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.co.uk.

Teen Daze – Themes For Dying Earth
Canadian electronic musician Teen Daze is back with a new album, Themes For Dying Earth. The record is a reflection on his own experiences with anxiety and depression, through a positive lense. If you want to escape reality for a little bit and not feel like we’re all doomed, listen to his new album and breathe.
Single: Rudie Edwards – Lover Like You
Think disco meets post-punk; Rudie’s influences are a cross-section of indie and gospel, ranging from Joy Division to Ray Charles. “The mission is to wake people up,” she says, “I want to make some bloody noise that doesn’t sound like all of the other bloody noise out there and Lover Like You is about knowing what you want from a lover and not being afraid to express it or ask for it.”
