Celebrating their twentieth anniversary, Placebo have announced another headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton following phenomenal demand. Already scheduled to appear at the South London venue on Monday 23 October 2017, they’ll now take to the same stage on Tuesday 24 October.

20 Years of PLACEBO // Extra London date added!

It’s been twenty years since Placebo released their seminal self-titled debut, housing the iconic Nancy Boy and introducing their now defining sound. To mark the occasion, the band will be hitting the road across the UK in October for the aptly titled 20 Years of Placebo Tour.

Rather than simply nostalgic, the band have also unveiled the official video for new single Life’s What You Make It, the lead track from last year’s EP of the same name. It’s a cover of the 1986 track by Talk Talk, a band with whom they share an unfaltering creative vision.

“We covered Talk Talk’s Life’s What You Make It because it is a song from the 80s that we still liked, and wondered if we could replicate Gwen Stefani’s global smash hit with her band’s cover of It’s My Life. That remains to be seen,” says Placebo’s Brian Molko.

The poignant video, shot by Sasha Rainbow, was filmed in Agbogbloshie, a former wetland in the heart of Accra, in Ghana, which is home to one of the world’s largest electronic waste dumps.
