Playlist: SW4’s huge drum and bass line-up

The Saturday at SW4 already boasts some absolutely huge names in drum and bass.

Running from the 26 – 27 August 2017 at London’s Clapham Common, the South West Four (SW4) line-up is already an absolute dream for any dance music enthusiast. With Pendulum and deadmau5 leading the charge on Saturday and Sunday respectively, the first day in particular hosts some of the biggest drum and bass names the world has to offer.

And we’re really not exaggerating. As well as Pendulum, the day will welcome Sigma and Wilkinson performing live, plus DJ sets from Netsky, back to back sets by DJ Hype and Hazard, plus SASASAS, and Goldie vs My Nu Leng.

Pendulum – Watercolour
The Australian kings of breakthrough drum and bass return to England’s capital to headline South West Four. Their distinctive melody driven style has turned heads and moved bodies for well over a decade, as the next two songs easily prove. Imagine these tracks just as the sun starts to set? Perfect.

Sigma – Nobody To Love
Upbeat euphoria is the name of the game for Sigma’s Nobody To Love and Changing. Both are serious hands in the air moments, and will effortlessly keep festival goers on their feet.

Wilkinson – Afterglow
British drum and bass producer and DJ Wilkinson has enjoyed a massive rise towards the top of his genre. Commercial breakthrough Afterglow is a crossover smash that doesn’t try to hide its authentic style, and has become a staple of his massive festival appearances over the last three years.

Netsky – Rio (featuring Digital Farm Animals)
Working with the iconic Hospital Records for all three of his studio albums, Netsky has become a household name in drum and bass, and rightly so. Rio from his most recent 3 record welcomes Nicholas Gale, better known as Digital Farm Animals, who has also joined Netsky on tour.

My Nu Leng – Masterplan (featuring Fox)
Boasting a deep sound, Bristol duo My Nu Leng are rapidly rising stars in contemporary drum and bass. They draw influences from loads of different places, not least on the grime infused Masterplan, featuring Manchester born and Jamaican educated MC Fox.

SaSaSaS – Anthem
Featuring DJ Phantasy, Stormin MC, Harry Shotta, Shabba D, Skibadee & Macky Gee, SaSaSaS offer an attitude filled drum & bass banger with Anthem, one of many frantic tracks that have propelled them straight towards South West Four.

Goldie – Freedom (featuring Natalie Duncan)
Dance veteran Goldie has been instrumental in the rise of drum and bass, since his early innovative breakbeat and jungle. Releasing three heavily influential albums in the 1990s, Goldie celebrates continued acclaim as a key figure across the British underground.

DJ Hype – You Must Think First
Another drum and bass veteran, South West Four will see DJ Hype go head to head with Goldie. DJ Hype, the stage name of Kevin Ford, first flirted with the UK mainstream in 1993 when he launched into the UK Singles Chart, having since pioneered British drum and bass around the globe. These two absolutely huge names facing off will undoubtedly be something really special.
