The Pretenders among 18 acts added to Isle of Wight Festival 2017

The Pretenders lead the latest additions to this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.

Isle of Wight Festival have added 18 bands to their line-up, joining the already confirmed headliners David Guetta, Run DMC, Arcade Fire and Rod Stewart.

“I’m absolutely over the moon to be playing the Isle of Wight Festival,” The Pretenders vocalist Chrissie Hynde beams, “it is one of the most iconic festivals of our time. I’m so humbled to be playing a festival that so many legends have performed at. I cannot wait.”

“This makes it one of the best line-ups we have ever had,” adds organiser John Giddings. “Roll on June!”

The announcement also sees The Kooks appear as part of their Best Of UK run celebrating 10 years as a band, as well as the most celebrated Irish female artist in history Imelda May.
