Romantic merch designs to make your heart melt from YMA6 & more

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, our resident Fashion Blogmaster, Sophie Eggleton, has taken her pick of the most romantic merch designs.

Seeing the Of Mice and Men Candy Hearts has inspired me to try and collate some other merchandise which fit nicely with Valentine’s Day. Here are lots of love-themed offerings from some of our favourite musicians…..

Valentines merch

Sleeping With Sirens
Roses are ancient symbols of love and beauty, need I say more…

You Me At Six
Why should Valentine’s Day just be about the love between a human and another human? Why can’t it be about the other things in our lives that we have a whole lotta love for… You Me At Six seem to agree with their Married to the Music Tee. Not sure how their girlfriends would feel about the statement though!

Ed Sheeran
With the song We Found Love, Ed Sheeran has a certified romantic classic under his belt. The official video also showcased the waistcoat-loving singer’s impressive dance skills, making him a heartthrob to millions. This T-shirts link to Valentine’s Day is pretty obvious, although I don’t know what the hue of this particular heart signifies?

Taylor Swift
Known for taking inspiration from her own life to make music, it’s no wonder Ms Swift has numerous merch I could have picked for this post. In recent interviews, the songstress has stated that she loves being single. So in honour of all those who aren’t all about being lovey-dovey this Saturday, here is a T-shirt you can wear to prove how strong you are post break-up. Do as Tay says and shake it off.

The Ataris
Yes, another tee that uses the heart as its focal point… but this one has definitely earned classic status.

Fall Out Boy
We’d all like to receive flowers on Valentine’s Day right? Well actually, I’d prefer a copious amount of chocolates, but that’s a personal preference. I digress. Ideally we’d like some dish of a man handing over a bunch of roses….but I guess we’d settle for a romantic gift from the walking dead as well. Mustn’t be too picky after all!

Valentines merch

Marmozets
This one is a bit of an anti-Valentine’s theme but not in a bitter ‘I hate love’ kind of way. This monochrome tee just celebrate the joy of being free and independent, which can be a beautiful thing!

The Script
Inevitably these Irish smoothies have some seriously romantic merch on offer.

Panic! At The Disco
Sometimes this ol’ love game is tough. Sadly its not always happy ever afters. As much as you love someone, sometimes you gotta set them free. This particular kind of heartbreak has been nailed by this merch design.

Katy Perry
Who says Valentine’s Day has to just be about romantic, lusty love? What about all those people in your lives that give us that comforting platonic type of love? I’ll be telling my best mates I love them with a cute friendship bracelet – plus ’90s fashion is so hot right now!

Joy Division
The true masters of melancholy and the ultimate anti-Valentine’s statement.

Shop at: backstreetmerch.com

Of Mice And Men
This band dedicates a lot of time to making sure their fans know how much they love them. You will often see their frontman Austin spending that extra bit of time making sure they know how much they mean to them via meet and greets and lengthy Instagram posts. The band ensure that they have a OMAM community, a family of sorts – so that no one is ever alone.

I think that’s a pretty perfect way to end this Valentine’s Day post; music is known for its ability to bring people together, to set a mood, help your through heartbreak, and give you a means to vent and celebrate all experiences of love.

Music and love will always be a winning partnership in my eyes.

Happy Valentine’s Day, folks! Tell Sophie which merch design is your favourite at @SophieEggleton.
