Here are the A Shot At Discovery band competition finalists

The A Shot At Discovery finalists will battle it out in London on the 27 April 2017.

Throughout February and March we introduced you to each of the bands shortlisted for the A Shot At Discovery competition. The ultimate battle of the bands, presented by The Pogues Irish Whiskey and Academy Music Group, looks to reward one band with the ultimate prize.

The national winner will enjoy £3000 towards new instruments, studio time with The Pogues as guest producers, live opportunities and management services, plus much more.

A winner from the each of the 10 regions has now been selected, with all of them arriving at London’s O2 Academy Islington later this month for the final showdown.

The bands will perform to music fans as well as a team of esteemed judges. These include Spider Stacy from The Pogues, The Libertines’ Gary Powell, Head of Academy Events, Ian Richards; 1965 Records founder, James Endeacott, who discovered The Libertines; Virgin Radio’s Head of Music, Stephanie May; BBC’s Introducing gigs presenter, Jack Suddaby and established music lawyer Stephen Kempner, from Sheridans.

The overall winner will be decided by the panel, as well as by crowd votes.
