Top tips to get your Take That tickets

It’s a big one – this week, Take That’s 2015 UK tour goes on sale!

The one question we’re asked more than any other is “How can I guarantee I’ll get my Take That tickets?” Well, while we can’t guarantee you’ll get tickets, what we can do is provide a few tips to maximise your chances of securing tickets to see Gary, Mark and Howard on their first tour as a three piece.

1) Is it better to keep refreshing my screen or wait?
It is definitely better to keep waiting. With really high profile events, the demand we see on our website can be phenomenal. To manage this, we have sophisticated systems in place to make sure that we can process fans’ ticket purchases as quickly as possible. As part of this process, we sometimes have to instate a virtual queue; it’s much better to wait and hold your place in that queue, rather than refresh and lose it. Years of experience have shown this system is the safest and fairest way of giving fans access to tickets.

2) Is it better to have multiple windows?
Stick with one window! Using too many windows and refreshing repeatedly can lead to a fan being temporarily blocked from the site as our systems might identify this as an automated attempt to secure tickets, something we are continually monitoring to ensure real fans like you can get their hands on the tickets.

3) Is there a pre-sale?
Yes. Fans had until 11.59pm on Monday, 10 November 2014 to pre-order Take That’s new album III on Amazon and by doing so received a code that gave them access to the pre-sale which runs from 9.00am to 2.00pm on Wednesday, 12 November 2014.

4) How early do you have to get ready for the sale?

Start by double checking the time of the on sale on our website or on our social media channels. For Take That, the presale will open at 9am on Wednesday 12th November followed by the general release tickets going on sale at 9am on Thursday 13 November 2014.

It’s worth signing up to a My Ticketmaster account in advance of the on sale. This will not only speed up your check out process but will also give you the opportunity to add all your favourite artists so you’ll be the first to know when they go on sale in the future. Ensure that you have your payment details ready and be on the site at the designated time. Remember, as an added security measure we only post to the billing address of the card you pay with.

5) Why do some people get tickets and others not – how does the system work?
We work hard to make the ticket buying process as easy and as fair as possible for our fans. Demand for large scale events will usually exceed the supply; there simply aren’t enough tickets for the number of people who want them.

Don’t forget that extra tickets do get released nearer the event and sometimes additional dates are added to the tour when demand is high, so while you may be frustrated to miss out at first do keep trying. Our Twitter feed @TicketmasterUK will post updates on the best availability, so worth following us there.

The Take That pre-sale will be taking place from 9am until 2pm on Wednesday 12th November and the general ticket sale will be taking place from 9am on Thursday 13th November. For more details please click here: www.ticketmaster.co.uk/takethat
