Watch Thomas Rhett’s performance at the 50th CMA Awards

Heart eyes emoji – not only did Thomas Rhett win Single Of The Year at the CMA Awards, but he also had us swooning with his performance of the single that won him the coveted trophy. 

It was a special night last night at the Country Music Awards in Nashvillem, where winners included country megastars like Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood and Little Big Town as the industry celebrated 50 years of the CMAs.

Another worthey winner was the delectable Thomas Rhett, who picked up the gong for Single of the Year for his triumphant record Die A Happy Man. You can see him performing the song at last night’s awards here.

It’s been a whirlwind of a year for Rhett. Last year he was nominated as Best New Artist and now he’s scooped up the Single Of The Year award just 12 months on0 Rhett, 26, who wrote the song for his wife Lauren, has just finished an extensive US tour alongside Jason Aldean.
