Details have been revealed for one of the biggest domestic sporting events of the year, The Clash.
The Clash will see Bath Rugby swap their The Rec stadium for the grandeur of London’s Twickenham Stadium, taking on old rivals Leicester Tigers on the 8 April 2017.
Not only offering a showdown between the top class teams, The Clash will also host a range of family friends activities and entertainment, including a guest appearance by BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James – making it a great event for kids during the Easter holidays.
Adjoining the iconic stadium, the Circus and Spa will host motorcycle stunts from On The Edge, plus opportunities to get hands on with rugby, fencing, equestrianism and rock climbing. Face paining, a ferris wheel and dodgems will also be on hand to entertain the masses.
The Swift Half will offer fans an authentic Bath experience, as well as performances by The Wurzels, Q&As with legendary players and celebrity DJs and commentators.
The family friends Spa area will offer relaxation, and some of the best food Bath has to offer.
And that’s not all. There’ll be a pre-match show filled fire-breathing beasts and ferocious performers as well as the excitingly titled Tunnel of Noise.
“We have a superb line-up of entertainment for all the family, for young and old alike, to make this a truly fantastic day for all our supporters,” says Bath Rugby Managing Director Tarquin McDonald. “We’re really excited to welcome everyone to Twickenham for what promises to be a sensational day out.
“This isn’t just a day for Bath Rugby Season Ticket Holders and core supporters. We’re putting on a superb, affordable family day out that will have lots of fun and entertainment for all ages, with a fantastic game of rugby as the centrepiece.”
