Benedict Cumberbatch Letters Live 2015

Letters Live 2015 will see celebrity speakers read correspondence deserving of a wider audience in front of a live crowd.

The independent publishing house Canongate has developed the event to celebrate the art and ethos of letter writing.

Cumberbatch had us all teary-eyed last week, when a video of him reading Alan Turing’s letter to Norman Routledge was posted to YouTube.

Now, Louise Brealey has us feeling much the same as she reads Bessie Moore’s love letter, dating back to 1945, to Chris Barker; her former work colleague and serving signalman in the Second World War.
