Dates confirmed for Dreamgirls’ West End debut – get tickets first
London’s West End is buzzing with excitement for the arrival of Dreamgirls this November.
Making its premiere at the Savoy Theatre, the new production starring Amber Riley will begin performances on 19 November 2016 and officially open on 14 December.
The Glee star will make her West End debut as she takes on the role of Effie White in the musical, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (currently represented on Broadway by The Book of Mormon, Aladding and Something Rotten!). Further casting is expected to be announced soon.
Riley said previously, “I am so honoured and excited to not only be playing such an iconic role, but also to be working with Sonia Friedman and Casey Nicholaw. Working on the West End is now a dream realised, I just feel like this is going to be something special.”
