New Count Arthur Strong BBC series confirmed

Count Arthur Strong will return to the BBC on the 19 May 2017.

BBC1 has confirmed that the new series of Count Arthur Strong will launch at 20:30 on the 19 May 2017. Steve Delaney, who plays the title character, once again wrote the seven part series, joined by all the regular cast.

Michael (Rory Kinnear), Eggy (Dave Plimmer), John The Watch (Andy Linden), and cafe owners Bulent (Chris Ryman) and his sister Sinem (Zahra Ahmadi) all return, joined by newcomer Birdie (Bronagh Gallagher).

The announcement comes as Count Arthur Strong tours the UK on the The Sound of Mucus tour. Running until the 23 June 2017, the tour sees Strong pay tribute to one of the best musicals he can remember, recreating the most poignant and salient moments for the audience’s enjoyment.
