Nicole Scherzinger secures 2015 Olivier Award nomination

The nominations for the 2015 Olivier Awards have just been announced – with Nicole Scherzinger in the running for Best Actress in a supporting role for her part in Cats.

Previous nominee James McAvoy and winner of 2014’s Best Actress award, Lesley Manville, named the full list of nominees today.

King Charles III received six nominations, while Wolf Hall and Bringing Up The Bodies were named in five categories. The Young Vic also bagged the most nominations for any theatre, by being shortlisted in 11 categories, including a Best Actress nomination for Gillian Anderson in A Streetcar Named Desire.

Memphis, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, Cats, Women on the Verge and Miss Saigon all lead the nominations in the musical categories.

The 2015 Olivier Awards takes place on Sunday 12 April at the Royal Opera House, with highlights shown on ITV.
