The Star Sixes draw has now been made – here’s what you need to know

Here is the confirmed schedule for Star Sixes, taking place in London from the 13 – 16 July 2017.

Robert Pires and Michael Ballack performed the eagerly-awaited live draw today, confirming the schedule for this year’s inaugural Star Sixes tournament.

The event will see England face Scotland, with the Steven Gerrard led home side including Rio Ferdinand, Michael Owen, Emile Heskey and David James.

Star Sixes will also see Brazil recreating their 1970 World Cup final against Italy.

The two top teams in each of the three groups, comprising four teams each, plus the the two best third-placed teams, will move on to the quarter finals.

From the 13 July until the afternoon session on Saturday 15 July, all 12 countries will play one 20 minute match in each of the sessions.

The evening of the 15 July will see four quarter-final standoffs, with the Sunday 16 July hosting the semi-finals, third place play offs and the overall final.

All knockout stages will feature 30 minute matches, split into two 15 minute halves. Each game across the whole tournament will adhere to 11-a-side rules as closely as possible.

The international six-a-side tournament for former internationals will take place at London’s O2 from the 13 – 16 July 2017. See the full scheduled below:
