More Minimasters go ice-skating at the Natural History Museum
To celebrate the opening of the Natural History Museum’s festive ice rink, we sent more Minimasters down for a session on the ice.
As the winter nights draw in and the season for mulled wine, Secret Santas and time with family comes up on us, the Natural History Museum’s main courtyard has once again been transformed into a festive ice rink.
Minimaster Madison already headed down to tell us her thoughts, and now 10-year-old Macy and family had their go.
Macy’s Review:
“My sisters Tayla and Eden and I had the exciting opportunity to visit the Natural History Museum Ice Rink. I was so excited because I had never been ice skating before.
“When we arrived at the rink we went to the ticket office to collect our tickets, the staff were so friendly and directed us to the area where we collected our skates.
“It wasn’t long before we were all ready in our ice skates and waiting for the gates of the ice rink to open.
“The rink was a beautiful sight, around the edge there were pretty lights decorating the trees. A huge Christmas tree stood in the centre.
“When we first got onto the ice I went into the practice area, which helped me to be confident. It was not long before I was skating around the main rink.
“On the rink you can have your picture taken and collect from a booth after your session has ended – for free!
“When we were there we felt very welcome because everybody was very kind and the skate marshals were there very quickly if you fell over.
“After we had skated we went up to the café, which overlooks the rink, and had a delicious hot chocolate with marshmallows.
“It was a great fun filled family evening out that we all enjoyed – even mum!”
