Today marks just three weeks until the start of the World Para Athletics Championships London 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

More than 230,000 tickets have so far been sold for the event, more than any of the previous eight championships, and the most ever for an event of its kind outside of a Paralymic Games.

Launching the #fillthestadium campaign, there are now adult tickets available for £10, and children’s tickets for £5, across all 16 sessions.

“We’re thrilled to have broken records for the best ever selling World Para Athletics Championships, but we’re determined to make sure as many fans as possible are inside the stadium supporting those athletes,” Co-Chair of London 2017, Ed Warner, has said.

“Unlike a Paralympics, this summer, the World Para Athletics Championships comes before the IAAF World Championships and we want to make sure the stadium is rocking from the very start of the entire Summer of World Athletics.

“Para sport has an impact – it brings people together and it showcases the best of human achievement, so I call upon people to #FillTheStadium and support our best athletes this summer.”

The World Para Athletics Championships London 2017 launch the Summer Of World Athletics, the biggest sporting event in the world in 2017. The IAAF World Championships follow the event at London Stadium from the 4 – 13 August 2017. It marks the first time both the World Para Athletics and the IAAF World Championships are hosted in the same city.
