Now, as we gear up to celebrate Roald Dahl Day (commemorating what would have been the illustrious author’s 100th birthday), there’s no better time revisit  Chitty, which is currently on tour across the UK. Here’s everything you need to know about the show…

What’s it about?

One of the world’s most famous musicals, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tells the story of whacky inventor Professor Caractacus Potts, who along with his two children and the gorgeous Truly Scumptious embarks on an adventure like no other – all thanks to his incredible, flying car!

But danger and peril abound when the bombastic Baron Bomburst decrees that all children should be banished from his kingdom. Find out what happens when Potts’ children are caught and imprisoned by the dastardly Child Catcher and how Chitty saves the day when this thrilling production flies into a town near you.
