ICYMI: Angela Lansbury sings Beauty and the Beast at 25th anniversary celebrations

Icon of the stage and screen – and the voice of the original Mrs Potts in Disney’s classic movie – Dame Angela Lansbury gave everyone all the feels with her heart-warming rendition of Beauty and the Beast on Saturday night.

Her surprise appearance was the icing on the cake at Disney’s 25th anniversary celebration of the Academy Award-winning Beauty and the Beast at New York’s Lincoln Centre.

Generations of Disney fans were taken back to the ballroom scene of the 1991 movie as Lansbury (90) took to the stage to perform the iconic number – accompanied on the piano by original composer Alan Menken.

She even helped set the scene with a bit of movie dialogue, warning her character’s adorable son, Chip, to “run along and get in the cupboard”, before blowing a kiss the audience.

Check out the amazing footage for yourself – we dare you not to get emotional.
