Cast confirmed for Stepping Out at Vaudeville Theatre
Stepping Out comes to the West End from March as part of a tour which kicked off in Bath last October.
Continuing in the classic comedy Stepping Out are Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Tamzin Outhwaite and Nicola Stephenson.
Joining this impressive line-up in London will be Natalie Casey, who was last seen in the West End in 2012 playing Angela in the revival of Mike Leigh’s Abigail’s Party at the Menier Chocolate Factory, later transferring to Wyndhams Theatre.
She takes over from Angela Griffin, who had previously been in Richard Harris’ loveable comedy in other venues.
Directed by Maria Friedman, Stepping Out explores the lives of seven women (and one man, played by Dominic Rowan), who join a weekly tap class to dance away their troubles.
The play, which first premiered in the West End in 1984, was adapted into a film in 1991 starring Julie Walters, Liza Minnelli and Shelley Winters.
Stepping Out opens at the Vaudeville Theatre in March for a limited run. Tickets are available now from Ticketmaster.co.uk.
