Catherine Tate adds extra London shows

She has added an extra week to her West End residency at Wyndham's Theatre in January 2019.

Due to popular demand, an additional week has now been added to Catherine Tate’s West End residency at Wyndham’s Theatre.

The shows will now run from the 7 – 26 January 2019.

The critically acclaimed and award-winning comedian makes a welcome return to the West End, following on from a sold-out tour across Australia and New Zealand.

She’ll be bringing characters from her successful BBC series The Catherine Tate Show with her, including favourites Nan Taylor, Bernie the Irish nurse, Geordie Georgie, Essex girl Sam and, of course, the notorious argumentative teenager.

“Iโ€™m excited and delighted to be bringing the show to the West End,” Catherine Tate announces.

The Catherine Tate Show first aired on the BBC in 2004, running for a total of three series and 22 episodes.

The sketch show won a series of awards in its time, including two British Comedy Awards and a National Television Award.

Comedian Catherine Tate went on to star in the acclaimed BBC series Doctor Who, playing the David Tennant’s regular companion throughout the 2008 run.

More recently Tate starred in the US version of The Office as Nellie Bertram, as well as providing the voice for Magica De Spell in the 2017 DuckTales reboot.

Tate will now bring her much-loved characters to the West End stage in January 2019.
