For the first time ever, Comic Relief will bring together the biggest names in comedy for a special one-off event
Following the huge success of his Cradle to Grave tour, the hugely popular comedian and broadcaster Danny Baker has announced he’ll be going on tour again next year.
The Good Time Charlie’s Back tour kicks off in Newcastle on 2 May 2019, taking in a total of eight shows and finishes in Stoke-On-Trent on 4 June 2019.
The new shows are set to be the final time the famous Millwall fan will tour.
Baker is perhaps best known for his work on BBC Radio 5 Live, where he hosts the weekly The Danny Baker Show. The Saturday morning football programme features interviews with celebrity guests and discussion about some of the more unusual aspects of the beautiful game.
Alongside his work at BBC Radio 5 live, Baker has also appeared on television programmes such as Have I Got News for You, Shooting Stars, QI and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. An established writer, the broadcaster has published three volumes of his autobiography, with the latest Goin on the Turn released in 2017.
Last month Baker entered the world of podcasting, with the launch of Behind Closed Doors. The weekly show, co-hosted by fellow broadcaster and England legend Gary Lineker sees the pair trading stories about life, football, Paul Gascoigne and more, has been an ever-present within the top 10 on the iTunes podcast chart since its launch.
