Dave Chappelle announces London shows with Jon Stewart

Comedy legends Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart are teaming up for two London shows

Following a series of shows across the US, including a six-night residency Atlanta’s Tabernacle concert hall, comedy juggernauts Dave Chappelle and Jon Stewart will now bring their comedy genius to London for a two huge shows at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.

The pair first united in August 2017 when Jon Stewart made a surprise appearance at Dave Chappelle’s Radio City Music Hall show in New York City.

Chapelle is an award-winning stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer. His comedy sketch show Chappelle’s Show ran for three seasons from 2003 before he left the show to return to stand-up. In 2017, Rolling Stone ranked Chappelle as No.9 on their list of 50 Best Stand Up Comics of All Time. The same year, he won an Emmy Award for his guest appearance on hit NBC show Saturday Night Live.

Stewart hosted satirical news programme The Daily Show from 1999 to 2015, but began doing stand-up in 1987. He is known for is outspoken, humorous critic of personality-driven media shows, in particular those of the networks such as CNN, Fox News and MSNBC. During his tenure, The Daily Show won 22 Primetime Emmy Awards.

This is the first time the duo have announced a joint tour that is coming to the UK.
