John Bishop announces 2019 work in progress shows

The comic will be road testing new material for his upcoming new show.

Award-winning comedian John Bishop has confirmed details of a run of work in progress shows.

The gigs will see the comic road test new material as he puts the finishing touches to his upcoming eighth stand up show.

The new tour will be the follow up to the comedian’s previous Winging It show, which sold out over 150 dates across the UK and received rave reviews. The DVD of the show was recorded at the London Palladium and released in November 2018.

Watch our throwback chat with John, as he was putting the finishing touches to his Winging It show at Edinburgh Festival Fringe back in 2017:

A regular on television screens, John has also achieved huge success hosting shows and documentaries such as John Bishop’s Australia, John Bishop’s Britain, John Bishop’s Only joking, The John Bishop Show and John Bishop’s Ireland.

The funnyman has won plaudits for his John Bishop: In Conversation With… series, in which the comedian interviews some of the world’s most famous people. Guests who have appeared on the programme include James Corden, Russell Brand, Katie Price, Professor Brian Cox, Gabby Logan and Jeremy Corbyn.
