Jonathan Van Ness announces UK tour

The Queer Eye star comes to the UK in October.

Jonathan Ness has confirmed he’ll be bringing his Road To Beijing tour to the UK later this year.

Inspired by his ongoing attempts to represent the USA in figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the newly announced dates kick off in Manchester on 17 October 2019, before heading to London and Glasgow.

Van Ness is best known for his starring role in the hit Netflix reality TV series Queer Eye. In the reboot of the popular series Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, Ness and his co-stars improve the life of a heterosexual man through their own specific skill sets, often with heartwarming results. Originally a trained hairdresser, Ness acts the grooming expert on the Emmy Award-winning show.

Season 3 of Queer Eye is due to drop on the streaming service on 15 March 2019.

Alongside his work on Queer Eye, Ness is well known for his work on the Funny Or Die web series Gay Of Thrones, in which he recaps Game Of Thrones episodes using his unique style of witty commentary whilst styling someone’s hair.

The star also hosts a bi-weekly podcast Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness in which he interviews an expert in their field about something he’s interested in. Past topics covered include medical marijuana, cults, gender identity and Brexit.

Turning his attention to stand-up comedy, Jonathan completed his first tour in the US last year, with the shows selling-out in record time and receiving rave reviews.

Here are the dates:

17 October 2019 – O2 Apollo Manchester
18 October 2019 – Eventim Apollo, London
19 October 2019 – SEC Armadillo, Glasgow
