Some of the UK’s most hilarious comedians will soon be heading to South East England for a week of fun and laughter.

A brand new event, the Kent Comedy Festival, has recently been announced in Maidstone, Kent. Set on the magnificent grounds of Mote Park within a purpose-built, covered auditorium, you’ll be able to enjoy large-scale comedy shows that still offer an intimate feel.

The line-up for the Kent Comedy Festival not only features a slew of comedy heavy hitters, but also a variety of up-and-comers. Plus, there’ll be many different styles of humour to appeal to audience members of all ages.

The festival runs from 29 September – 6 October 2018, with two big shows planned for the last weekend.

Don’t miss Lee Nelson and Mo Gilligan on Friday 5 October. Nelson is known for sneaking into loads of places where he’s not wanted – but when it comes to performing comedy on stage, he’s always in huge demand. With a history of hijinks that includes pranking everyone from Sepp Blatter to Donald Trump, his appearance at the Kent Comedy Festival is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

One of comedy’s brightest new stars, Gilligan (aka Mo The Comedian) will also be appearing that night. His critically acclaimed show, Coupla Cans, has garnered so many rave reviews across the country that he’ll be bringing it to the West End for a residency at the end of October.

In addition, two more big-name comedians are performing the following night on Saturday 6 October. Enjoy sets from Zoe Lyons and Andy Parsons, who are both regulars on shows like Mock the Week and Comedy Central.

In 2008, Lyons won the Dave Funniest Joke of The Fringe award. She’s just wrapping up another wildly funny engagement at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a fresh crop of quick-fire observational gags. Lyons will also be cooking up some fun as one of the contestants on Celebrity MasterChef 2018.

Rounding out the weekend’s big line-up is Parsons, who has performed his stand-up all around the world since winning the Time Out Comedy Award in 2002. With handful of comedy DVDs and several sell-out national tours under his belt, he also finds time to host a monthly podcast called Slacktivist Action Group.
