Fresh off his hilarious performance at last week’s Latitude Festival, comedian and presenter Matt Richardson has revealed he’ll be hitting the road this winter.

The host of Virgin Radio’s Drivetime show is set to tour the country with an extension of his popular live stand-up show, Slash. Kicking off in Woking on 3 November 2018, he’ll appear in cities throughout the country before wrapping up in Runcorn on 20 April 2019.

Slash is all about Matt’s life. He shares stories of his transformation from rookie stand-up at university to primetime TV presenter in just a few strange years. Not only has Matt received awards other young comics can only dream of – like being named Heat Magazine’s Weird Crush of the Year in 2014 – but he’s also been featured in erotic fan fiction (from which the show takes its name) and had his phone nicked by Kate Moss.

An excellent storyteller, Matt has been given raves from the press. The Mirror calls him “hilarious and charming”, while The Guardian praises his “high wattage charisma”.

In addition to Drivetime, Matt was a TV presenter on The Xtra Factor. In season three, he even took a chance at becoming the next great singing sensation by auditioning in front of the judges.

Matt’s hosted other TV shows like Just Tattoo of Us and Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live, plus he’s appeared on The Chase, CelebAbility, Westworld: The Story So Far, Top Gear – Extra Gear Series 3 and a slew of comedy programmes ranging from The Chris Ramsey Show and Never Mind the Buzzcocks to Drunk History and It’s Not Me It’s You.
