Comedy podcast phenomenon The Guilty Feminist will be brought to life with a series of live performances taking place next year.

The newly announced tour kicks off in London on Friday 1 May 2020, running throughout the month and ending in Sheffield on Sunday 31 May.

The brainchild of comedians Deborah Frances-White and Sofie Hagen, The Guilty Feminist is one of the most popular comedy podcasts in the UK and has been downloaded over 70 million times since 2015.

The show features Deborah and her guests discussing things which all twenty-first-century feminists agree on while confronting their insecurities, hypocrisies and fears which threaten to undermine those noble goals.

Since its launch, the show has featured guests such as Jessica Hynes, Gemma Arterton, Hannah Gadsby, Jenny Eclair and Jo Brand. The Guardian named The Guilty Podcast as one of the best podcasts of 2017, declaring it “very funny… pure, guilt-free pleasure”.

In the special touring version of the show, The Guilty Feminist: Live, Deborah will be joined by fellow comedians, guests and musicians to discuss how far feminism has come, and how far there is left to go. These shows will not be released as podcasts, instead providing an opportunity to catch host Deborah Frances-White and guests in person for a blend of the planned and the unplanned.
