Tim Minchin announces return to the UK
Here's all you need to know about his BACK tour dates.
Comedian, musician, actor, writer and composer Tim Minchin is set to return to the UK in 2019.
His international BACK tour will arrive in the UK on Tuesday 15 October 2019, kicking off a sixteen date run in Ipswich. The tour also sees him take to London’s Eventim Apollo Hammersmith.
It marks his first UK tour since his stint with The Heritage Orchestra at the turn of the decade, having played various one-off shows across the country in the subsequent years.
BACK promises “old songs, new songs, f*** you songs,” hinting at the return of favourites as well as new material. Fans will have the opportunity to access tickets early through our presale, powered by Ticketmaster #VerifiedFan.
As well as his acclaimed tours, Minchin is also behind the music and lyrics for West End smash Matilda the Musical, taking home seven Olivier Awards and five Tony Awards, among others.
He also wrote the music and lyrics for the stage adaptation of Groundhog Day, which debuted on Broadway in April 2017.
The appropriately titled BACK sees him return to the stage having starred in film and TV. His most recent appearance is in ABC’s Squinters, as well as being scheduled to appear as Friar Tuck in the forthcoming Robin Hood film.
As well as touring BACK, 2019 will see Minchin star in UPRIGHT, a new eight-part series.
