The Welsh comedian opens up about his first tour in seven years.
Due to demand, award-winning comedian Trevor Noah has added a second date to the UK leg of his Loud & Clear tour, which comes to London next year.
The comic will bring the laughs to the UK’s capital when he visits The O2 on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 April 2020.
Trevor Noah is the most successful comedian in Africa and the host of the US late-night political satire television series The Daily Show.
Born and raised in South Africa to a black South African mother and a white European father, Noah first broke through performing stand-up in his home country, before emigrating permanently to the US in 2011.
Noah became popular with US TV audiences with his regular contributions to Comedy Central’s flagship politics programme The Daily Show, which was then hosted by Jon Stewart. After Stewart announced in 2015 that he was leaving the series, bosses at the network promoted Noah to become the show’s new host.
A hit with audiences as well as critics, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah has accelerated the comedian’s career and made the South African a household name.
Known for his thought-provoking and witty takes on the hot topics of the day, clips of Noah taking on difficult subjects often go viral, racking up millions of views.
In 2018 the show won a GLAAD award for Outstanding Talk Episode and was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Awards.
Alongside The Daily Show, Noah has grown into one of the most in-demand stand up comedians in the world, performing at sold out venues across five continents.
Tackling politics, family and race, Noah released his most recent comedy special Trevor Noah: Son Of Patricia in November 2018 through streaming giant Netflix.
No stranger to the UK, the comedian has been a regular visitor to these shores and has appeared on popular panel shows such as QI and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
Trevor Noah will be returning to the UK in April 2020, when he brings his new Loud & Clear tour to The O2, London.
