The live adaptation of the prize winning book is running now at London's Lyric Theatre.
The Teletubbies are currently embarking on their first ever theatre tour, especially created for all their little fans! Minimaster Amy was lucky enough to see Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po on stage and she shares her highlights of the entertaining family show:
The atmosphere in the room was electrifying! During the interval, young children and babies were enjoying their Teletubbies lights that were lit up in the colours purple, green, yellow or red. Lively music was playing consistently; adults were taking pictures, chattering loudly and laughing.
During the show there were numerous activities such as dancing and singing for the children and adults in the crowd to join in with. There were certain parts of the show that were funny for all the children (including me!) that made us all laugh hysterically.
My favourite parts were when we counted the cute, fluffy, white sheep with Po and sung the song with a class of school children towards the end of the show. It was very interactive for all the families and helped young children with their counting skills.
I would definitely recommend it to other families that have young children under the age of five.
Bonus points to the actors, who despite the fact that they were enclosed in warm costumes in 32 degrees in the theatre, ensured that the audience was engaged.
I would rate this show a 10 out of 10. It was beautifully performed, appropriately engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed!
