Architects and more announced for All Points East

They’ll join Bring Me The Horizon at the event on Friday 31 May 2019.

UK metallers have Architects have been added to All Points East.

They join the Friday 31 May 2019 lineup, which has been curated by headliners Bring Me The Horizon.

Organisers have also announced today that Alice Glass, While She Sleeps and Employed to Serve be appearing at the End London event on 31 May 2019.

The new additions will joined by the already announced Run The Jewels, Nothing But Thieves, IDLES, Scarlxrd and Yonaka.

Bring Me The Horizon are currently No.1 in the UK albums chart with their sixth studio album Amo and have recently played two shows at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Their ever-changing style has seen them labelled as everything from deathcore to pop-rock, from the heaviness of 2006’s Count Your Blessings through the electronic experimentation of There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret, to 2015’s anthemic That’s The Spirit.

Their live history already includes an orchestral show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, and arena shows at London’s O2.

Last week, The Strokes were announced as a headliner for All Points East. Appearing on the second day of the festival, Saturday 25 May 2019, completing the opening weekend’s headliners.

The Strokes will also be joined by The Raconteurs, Interpol, Johnny Marr, Parquet Courts, Jarvis Cocker, Courtney Barnett, Connan Mockasin, Anna Calvi, Bakar, The Nude Party and Viagra Boys.

This announcement is the latest for the 10-day event, running in East London’s Victoria Park from 24 May until 2 June 2019, which includes a music festival, unique artist-curated shows, and a free community midweek programme of entertainment.

Previous All Points East announcements have also confirmed headliners The Chemical Brothers for Friday 24 May, Christine and the Queens for Sunday 26 May 2019, and Bon Iver for Sunday 2 June 2019.

Christine and the Queens join the line-up following acclaimed sold out UK shows, and the release of the seminal Chris earlier this year.

The Chemical Brothers will headline the first Friday of All Points East Festival. The electronic maestros will be joined by Hot Chip, Primal Scream, Spiritualized, Little Dragon, Danny Brown, Little Simz, Ibibio Sound Machine and more.

Bon Iver, joined by Mac Demarco, First Aid Kit, John Grant, KOKOKO!, Julian Baker, The Tallest Man on Earth and Snail Mail, will take to the stage on Sunday 2 June 2019.

Last year’s All Point East series saw headline shows from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The National, LCD Soundsystem, The xx and Catfish and the Bottlemen, plus supports on each date including the likes of Lorde and Friendly Fires.

More acts are expected to be revealed in the near future.
