Avenged Sevenfold are the second act to be confirmed for next year’s Download Festival. They’ll join the already announced Ozzy Osbourne at the top of the main stage bill.

The metal behemoths last released The Stage in 2016, their seventh album.

It’s not the first time Avenged Sevenfold take to the headline slot at Download Festival, having done so previously in 2014 alongside Linkin Park and Aerosmith. 2018 will mark their fourth appearance at the iconic festival, having first played the main stage back in 2006.

Fans can expect to hear the biggest songs from their seven album history, including Beast and the Harlot, Bat Country, Nightmare and The Stage.

Avenged Sevenfold are no stranger to playing to huge crowds, having stopped off at the likes of London’s vast O2 on their headline tours. They also supported Metallica on their North American run earlier this year.

Download Festival, the world’ premier rock and metal event, will take place at Donington Park – the spiritual home of rock – from the 8 – 10 June 2018.

In its time, Download Festival has welcomed the biggest names in rock and metal to Donington Park. The likes of AC/DC, KISS, Metallica, The Prodigy, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Linkin Park and more have graced the festival as headliners.

Tickets for Download Festival, headlined by Ozzy Osbourne and Avenged Sevenfold with more to come, are available now through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
