Icelandic superstar Björk has announced three UK and Ireland dates, bringing the Cornucopia show to these shores in November 2019.

She’ll take to London, Glasgow and Dublin on 19, 25 and 28 November respectively, bringing the theatrical production based on her 2017 release Utopia.

Björk launched the production with an eight night residency at the then-new The Shed in New York City’s Manhattan, with direction by Lucrecia Martel with creative digital visuals by Tobias Gremmler.

Her tenth tour, Cornucopia has been described as Björk’s first theatrical production. She has used the terms “digital theatre” and “sci-fi pop concert” to explain the visual and audible performance.

Björk released Utopia, her most recent and ninth studio album, in November 2017. The record features the tracks Arisen My Senses, Blissing Me and The Gate.

Beginning her career as a member of The Sugarcubes and launching a hugely acclaimed solo tour in the early ’90s, Björk last performed in the UK at an intimate show at London’s The Garage following a headline appearance at All Points East Festival in the summer of 2018.

Her 1993 debut, the suitably titled Debut, reached the Top 3 on the official UK album chart, going on to be certified 2x Platinum. Follow-up Post hit the top spot in her native Iceland as well as No.2 here in the UK.

Some of Björk’s biggest hits include Army Of Me, Hyperballad and the anthemic It’s Oh So Quiet.

Her newly announced Cornucopia UK and Ireland tour dates kick off in London, and continue through Glasgow and Dublin. Here are those dates in full:

19 November 2019 – The O2, London
25 November 2019 – The SSE Hydro, Glasgow
28 November 2019 – 3Arena, Dublin

Tickets for Björk’s newly announced UK dates will be available from 10:00 on Friday 9 August 2019 through Ticketmaster.co.uk.
