Björn Again announces 30th anniversary UK tour
Relive ABBA’s golden days when Australia’s internationally acclaimed tribute show returns this November and December.
ABBA fans, get ready to dance! In celebration of their milestone 30th year, Björn Again is touring the country this winter. They’ll perform 16 shows throughout the UK, starting on 30 November at the Brighton Centre and wrapping up on 20 December at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.
Director and musician Rod Stephen says, “We are really looking forward to this 30th anniversary tour. Come and join us for loads of great songs combined with tons of fun and antics.”
Stephen founded Björn Again in 1988 in Melbourne. Originally designed to be a light-hearted spoof of the beloved Scandinavian quartet, his ABBA tribute show became so wildly popular it brought about a revival that resulted in the ABBA Gold music compilation album, along with the film Muriel’s Wedding and the smash hit musical MAMMA MIA!
Over the past 30 years, Björn Again have amassed a staggering 5,000 performances in 72 countries. Among the show’s highlights are playing at Buckingham Palace for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and The Duke of Edinburgh as well as appearing at Wembley Arena, the Royal Albert Hall, London Palladium and Hyde Park. Björn Again have also toured with Cher and Shania Twain.
Capturing all the joy and playfulness from ABBA’s heyday when the band produced hit after hit, Björn Again is revered by ABBA fans worldwide. Their astoundingly accurate repertoire features the Swedish super-trouper’s greatest songs – from Dancing Queen and Knowing Me, Knowing You to Fernando, Waterloo and many more!
