US alt RnB singer-songwriter Blackbear has confirmed details of a forthcoming UK tour.

The newly announced shows kick off in Birmingham on 25 October 2019, before heading to Glasgow, London and Manchester.

The tour will be in support of Blackbear’s upcoming new studio album Anonymous.

Anonymous, Blackbear’s fifth record, is set to be released worldwide on 26 April 2019.

Five singles have been released from the album so far: 1 Sided Love, High1x, Swear to God, Hate My Guts and Dead to Me.

Speaking about the authenticity of the album, Blackbear explains, “There were hints in my earlier albums of who I really was, but I had a wall up.”

Continuing he says, “The wall’s been torn down for Anonymous. I’m calling it that because I want to take the ego out of the process. I wanted to make a human album, by a real person, not hide behind the character of this sad ‘Blackbear’ guy.”

With a proven penchant for writing hit songs, Blackbear has worked on tracks for other artists such as Pharrell Williams, Nick Jonas, Childish Gambino, Linkin Park and notably for Justin Bieber, with whom the songwriter co-wrote the six-times platinum smash hit track Boyfriend.

The musician has also celebrated hit singles under his own banner, most notably with the huge streaming hits ldfc and the Gucci Mane collaboration do re mi.
