Feast Collective returns to Camp Bestival

The family festival returns this year.

The organisers of Camp Bestival have confirmed that their hugely popular food offering The Feast Collective will return this year.

Now in its sixth year, The Feast Collective will see some of the country’s best independent chefs, street vendors and creative food makers descend on the festival’s Lulworth Castle site from 25 – 28 July 2019.

Live fire chef DJ BBQ will be returning to the festival with his gastronomic BBQ delights.

Zoe Adjonyoh of Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen will also return to Camp Bestival, adding a touch of West African flair to the festival with her homecooked Ghanian food.

Vegetarians and vegans will be well catered for at Camp Bestival, with a whole host of vendors such as Avant Garde Vegan, with their meat-free take on classic food, Jake’s Vegan Steakz, who specialise in vegan Philidelphia style cheesesteaks, Bamboo Street Food, Happy Maki and Seadog all bringing their talents to the festival.

Meat eaters can look forward to wood-fired barbeque treats from ASADO, Portuguese steak sandwiches from Growlers, Venezulen food from Guasacaca, Vietnamese street food from Hanoi Kitchen, South East Mexican dishes from Elote and BBQ chicken tikka wraps from Baked In A Brick.

Also feeding festival-goers over the weekend will be Sugo, Jeff The Oyster Man, Makatcha, Krapow, Raclette Brothers, Crêpe Kings, DÁPPA, Monkshood Coffee and more.

The Feast Collective joins Nile Rodgers & Chic and BBC Radio 1 legend Annie Mac as Saturday and Sunday superhero headliners at this year’s Camp Bestival.

Jess Glynne and The Human League headline this year’s Castle Stage. Additional artists performing at the festival include Sister Sledge, The Wailers, Big Shaq, Sara Cox, Goldie, Vengaboys, Ash, David Rodigan, Greg Wilson, Melanie C’s 90s Mixtape, Rak-Su, Morcheeba, and many more.

There will also be a host of family shows, kid entertainment, comedy, wellness and fitness, as well as a comprehensive food and drink offering.

The festival takes place from 25 – 28 July 2019 at Lulworth Castle, Dorset.

Camp Bestival will be celebrating Heroes vs. Superheroes this summer, and the festival includes the brand new Wild Tribe area designed to encourage screen-free time. The line-up features bushcraft, wild adventures, mudslides, drumming circles and more.

“Step up the brave and the perilous, courageous and noble, those with superhuman powers or those powering everyday heroic deeds, Camp Bestival is back with a bang and we’re over-the-moon to announce our return with the best and biggest line-up to date in 2019,” organiser Rob da Bank says. “Expect magical mania, brimmed with momentous music, phenomenal feast-worthy food and exciting experiences suited for everyone, whether you’re aged 8 or 80!”

The theme celebrates all kind of heroes who are doing things for the greater good of the human race – whether they be superheroes like Batman, Spider-Man and Wonder Woman or real-life heroes such as NHS nurses, firefighters, Malala Yousafzai or David Attenborough.
