Catfish and The Bottlemen announce UK tour dates

They'll be celebrating the release of new album The Balance.

Catfish and The Bottlemen have announced a UK headline tour, kicking off in Brighton on Thursday 2 May 2019 following two shows in Ireland.

The tour comes in support of the band’s forthcoming new album, The Balance, due for release on Friday 26 April 2019 through Island Records.

Catfish and The Bottlemen released the first taste of things to come earlier this month in the form of Longshot.

The four-piece released their debut album in 2014. The Balcony introduced the world to hits such as Kathleen and Cocoon, before the band released sophomore full-length The Ride in 2016.

Their third album, made up of 11 new tracks, has been recorded with Irish producer Jacknife Lee across the Republic of Ireland and in the East Lincolnshire countryside.

“We were staying there the whole time, so we were waking up around each other and working until we needed to go to bed,” vocalist and guitarist Van McCann explains. “Jacknife was always up. He was the first up and the last awake. It’s good when you’re completely engulfed in recording in a place like that, living together, because every day and all day it was about the songs. We had fun too; they were the funniest album sessions we’ve done.”

The record features Longshot as well as recent live favourite Fluctuate, with fans being offered the opportunity to see the new material live come April and May.

The newly announced dates follow their sold out run in February, which includes a headline show at London’s SSE Arena Wembley.

Here are those new dates:

28 April 2019 – Leisureland, Galway
30 April 2019 – The Olympia Theatre, Dublin
2 May 2019 – Brighton Centre, Brighton
4 May 2019 – Ericsson Indoor Arena, Coventry
5 May 2019 – Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff
7 May 2019 – FlyDSA Arena, Sheffield
8 May 2019 – Manchester Arena, Manchester

Tickets for the newly announced Catfish and The Bottlemen shows will be available from 10:00 on Friday 1 February 2019 through
