Claire Richards announces new solo album and tour

Claire Richards is known for being one fifth of ’90s chart-topping pop band Steps, but now she is set to go solo as she has announced the release of her brand new solo album, My Wildest Dreams, due to be released on Friday 2 November 2018.
To celebrate the release, the star will play four intimate shows around the country this December. She will kick things off in Glasgow on Sunday 2 December 2018 before heading to Birmingham, Liverpool and London.
Last Monday, she debuted the lead single, On My Own, which tells the story of the ups and downs she has experience throughout her life including the pressures of being in the public eye. The song has received huge praise and support, including from her Steps’ band mates.

Richards recently revealed four tracks at an acoustic session from her forthcoming album. She opened with On My Way, the lead single, before showcasing ballad End Before We Start, Shame On You, and These Wings, which she said was her favourite track.
At this acoustic session, she also revealed why she has decided now to go solo, revealing: “I recently turned 40 and thought, if I don’t do it now, I never will.”
For her debut album, she teamed up with producer Steve Anderson, who has worked with huge artists including Britney Spears, Kylie, Take That and more. He produced most of the album and wrote a couple of songs too.
