Stop everything, Coldplay announce a Cardiff show in July – plus how to get tickets!

Coldplay have announced the first 2017 shows of their A Head Full Of Dreams Tour – and it includes a date in Cardiff at Principality Stadium on 11 July!

Since March of this year, the tour has played to 2.5 million people across Latin America, the US and Europe, including four sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium. The album A Head Full of Dreams has also racked up some impressive numbers. Since its December 2015 release, it’s sold more than 4 million copies and spawned three hit singles: Adventure of a Lifetime, Hymn for the Weekend and Up&Up.

Tickets for Coldplay’s Cardiff show go on sale at 09:00 Friday 7 October here.

We expect this show to be a pretty hot ticket, so we’ve thrown together some tips to help you to secure tickets on the big day. Notepads at the ready!

How do I get tickets to see Coldplay in concert?

As we just said, tickets go on sale at 09:00 Friday 7 October here at Ticketmaster. We expect there will be a maximum of 6 tickets per person buying tickets. We currently don’t have confirmation on the ticket price range. We will update this post when we know more information!

  1. Open your account and log in now

Get the details out of the way before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. We recommend checking passwords, delivery address and billing information now, to reduce any stress when processing your order later on. Head to Ticketmaster.co.uk and log in to your account to get started.

  1. Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window when you’re being pushed through the virtual queue and always resist the urge to refresh. Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game.

Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is actually doing something and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

  1. There’s no news of a presale

All tickets will be available in the general on sale Friday a 09:30.

  1. Check when tickets are available – even once they’re on sale

Keep up-to-date with news at Twitter.com/TicketmasterUK. If anything changes with the Coldplay tickets – anything at all – our social followers will be the first to know about it.

We send real-time updates as the general sale happens, including any technical difficulties that might occur (there are A LOT of Coldplay fans, remember) and alerts when new tickets become available. When we have popular tours come on sale, we try our very best behind the scenes to secure as many tickets for you as possible and here’s where you’ll know if we’ve been successful.

  1. Don’t oversleep on Friday

That would be disastrous.

We said it before, we’ll say it again; Coldplay tickets go on general sale 9:00 Friday 7 October 2016.
