Atlanta based producer, label executive, singer and songwriter Davido has announced a very special headline show, taking to London’s O2 on Sunday 27 January 2019.

Davido released his acclaimed debut, Omo Baba Olowo in 2012, featuring his crossover breakthrough Way Back When and the widely lauded Dami Duro.

Bringing together hip-hop and afropop to dominate the bubbling afrobeat scene, Davido inspired a dance craze with 2013’s Skelewu, asking fans to upload videos of their moves.

Following a high profile EDM remix by Major Lazer and Wiwek, Davido continued his cross-genre onslaught, securing two MTV Africa Music Awards and the BET Award for Best African Act in 2014.

As a pioneer in the ever growing African influence on music in Europe and the Untied Sates, Davido is helping to lead the charge in the cultural and musical revolution. Sony Music Entertainment, who signed Davido in 2016, laid out plans to open an office in the singer’s native Nigeria, the companies first office on the continent outside of South Africa.

Davido appeared at Wireless Festival earlier this month, having released two more albums after 2012’s Omo Baba Olowo, and a handful of standalone singles including this year’s Assurance and Flora My Flawa.

The videos for both recent singles stretch way into the millions of views.
