Drake adds another London date to UK tour

Drizzy's back! Here's what you need to know.

Drake has confirmed details of The Assassination Vacation Tour, joined on all dates by Tory Lanez.

The newly announced shows kick off in Manchester on Sunday 10 March 2019, before heading to Birmingham and finishing with a seven-night residency at London’s The O2.

It will be the first time the superstar has performed in the UK since his surprise set at last summer’s Wireless Festival.

Global superstar Drake is one of the biggest artists on the planet.

Breaking through in the late 2000s, Drake has released five studio albums so far; Thank Me Later, Take Care, Nothing Was The Same, Views and Scorpion.

The Canadian has no less than 12 top ten UK singles to his name including Passionfruit, Hotline Bling, Hold On, We’re Going Home and the record-breaking No.1 single One Dance.

Drake released his latest album Scorpion in June 2018 and the record debuted at No.1 on the official Canadian, US and UK albums chart. The release features the chart-topping singles God’s Plan, Nice For What and In My Feelings. The latter single inspired the hugely viral In My Feelings Challenge, where celebrities such as Will Smith, DJ Khalid and Dua Lipa uploaded videos of themselves dancing to the track to social media.

A self-confessed Anglophile, Drake is known for his strong affinity to the UK and its hip-hop culture. The rapper has worked with UK artists such as Skepta, Giggs, Sampha and Jamie xx and in July 2018, Drake appeared on the hugely popular Fire In The Booth segment of Charlie Sloth’s BBC 1Xtra radio show.

Known for his spectacular set designs and his boundless energy, Drake has a reputation for being one of the best live performers in the game. A hot-ticket, the last time Drake toured the UK he sold out eight shows at The O2 in London.
