Album of the Week
Taylor Swift returns with her seventh album, Lover.
Organisers of Field Day have confirmed their second wave of artists appearing at 2019’s festival.
Leading the announcement is the news that Sacramento experimentalists Death Grips will return to Field Day, after a raucous set at 2017’s festival.
Also joining the bill today are FLOHIO, Mahalia, Kojey Radical, Femi Kuti and more, with the late night line-up featuring sets from Modeselektor, Nocturnal Sunshine, George FitzGerald, LEON VYNEHALL and more.
Boiler Room have also been confirmed as Field Day’s official broadcast partner and will be live streaming performances from their stage over the weekend.
Skepta and Jorja Smith will headline Field Day 2019, taking over Meridian Water, Enfield, North London across 10 acres of outdoor space and four gigantic interlinking warehouses from 7 – 8 June 2019.
Field Day will mark London hip hop legend Skepta’s only London festival appearance of the summer. Hailing from the nearby Meridian Walk Estate, Tottenham, Skepta takes to the main stage on Friday 7 June 2019.
RnB global superstar Jorja Smith will headline on Saturday 8 June 2019. The singer-songwriter attracted huge critical acclaim last summer with her debut album Lost & Found. The album, released in June, earned Jorja three nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards, and winning Best Female Solo Artist.
Other artists set to appear over the weekend include Diplo, The Black Madonna, Modeselektor, Jungle, Pusha T, Earl Sweatshirt, Octavian, Deerhunter, and Julia Holter.
Bonobo will be curating his outlier project, taking over space in the new warehouse stage, and in a first for Field Day, the team at Printworks will be showcasing some of the most exciting underground electronic music in the UK on a specially curated stage.
