Foals just announced their first ever UK arena tour for February 2016

Foals are officially an ‘arena band’, having just announced dates for their first ever UK and Ireland arena tour.

Niiice.

Following a #3 chart position for their critically acclaimed new album, What Went Down – which stuck around in the Top 20 for four weeks – the Indie quintet will tour the UK in February 2016.

Headline dates including nights at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro, Leeds’ First Direct Arena and The SSE Arena, Wembley in London.

Touring in support of the What Went Down record, Foals already have a stream of brilliant album reviews to their name.

An enormous, seriously impressionistic contemporary rock album imbued with spectacular splashes of gothic darkness,” said Q. While NME said it “has the potential to be the one [album] that makes Foals truly massive”.

And if GQ’s prediction is anything to go by – “Who’s going to dominate next year’s festivals? Foals – and this heavy-duty new album is why” – you’ll want to catch Foals live as early as you can next year.

Everything Everything have also been confirmed as main support for the UK and Ireland tour.

Foals tour the UK during February 2016:

10 – Dublin, 3Arena
12 – Glasgow, The SSE Hydro
13 – Manchester Arena
16 – London, The SSE Arena, Wembley
19 – Birmingham, Barclaycard Arena
20 – Leeds, First Direct Arena

Foals tickets go on sale at 09:00 on Friday 9 October, head to Ticketmaster.co.uk.
